The Lucky Pig, is an easy five minute stroll from Great Portland Street station, tucked away in the basement level of a little side street - Clipstone Street - nestled between Oxford Circus, Great Portland Street and Warren Street. If you can see a doorman standing next to a red velvet rope, you're in the right place.
The moment you step inside, you'll take a giant leap back in time, to the 1920's, the era of prohibition and speakeasy. The cocktails and crazy mismatched decor imaginatively capture the vibe and style of the time, in contrast to uber hip guests, who bring us zinging up to the minute, dressed on trend, ordering cocktails at the bar or stretched out on a chaise.
The Lucky Pig regularly plays host to DJs and live music. Enjoy great tunes and table service as you relax in a curtained alcove, sipping a Jack Smash, Bee Knees, Side Car, a Dark and Stormy, a California Soul, a Midnight Reviver and many more.
Together with a memorable cocktail you can enjoy a selection of tasty snacks - home made fresh stone baked pizzettas, with mouth-watering toppings - Ricotta - courgette and mushroom with rosemary and tomato, Spinach - goats cheese, caramelised red onions, tomato and black olives, Bresaola - mozzarella, asparagus, parmesan, tomato and rocket. There are boards to share - Piggy Platter and Vegetable Mezze. Prices are reasonable for both food and drinks and well worth the experience of this unique underground bar.
