A House in Bayswater and other local cultural connections

One of English film director Ken Russell’s first pieces of work was an extremely personal one for him, set in the Bayswater house he used to live in and featuring the people he lived with, titled ‘A House in Bayswater’. The film was first screened in 1960, and provided an excellent snapshot of life in a large Victorian house.
