If you are looking at properties for sale in Regent’s Park and are keen on keeping fit, you couldn’t have considered a better area.
Along with The Hub within Regent’s Park - London’s largest outdoor sporting facility - the Mornington Chasers running club has recently commenced its ‘Mornington Chasers Regent’s Park Grand Prix 10K Series’.
This community-friendly monthly race event welcomes everyone wanting to pull on a pair of trainers, from running novices to elite sprinters. Taking place on the first Sunday of every month (apart from January 2016, which takes place on the second Sunday) the course offers a fast, flat and traffic-free environment over a 10K distance in the beautiful surroundings of Regent’s Park.
Commencing at The Hub, close to Monkey Gate, the route gives runners the opportunity to see a wide area of the park and possibly even a glimpse of the elegant white stucco terraced houses designed by John Nash that are found on the south, east and west side of the park, or one of the stunning villas that were built in the centre of park.
Homes in the Regent’s Park area include some of the capital’s most prominent and expensive. Houses in the immediate vicinity of the park are spectacularly large and command significant prices. Apartments tend to be just as grand and are usually carved from the many period properties that line the attractive roads. Moving away from the park itself, you will find a mix of Georgian façades, Victorian houses and Edwardian cottages, all combining with post-war estates and stunning new developments to create a desirable property landscape.
The Regent’s Park area is ideal for families, with excellent access to a good selection of schools and green space abound. Regents’ Canal offers a fabulous location for walking and cycling, and the Regent’s Park itself covers 395 acres, encompasses several playgrounds, a boating lake, London Zoo, the Open Air Theatre, a tennis centre and several cafés.
Kay & Co has a number of properties for sale and to rent in the Regent’s Park area, and will be only too happy to discuss your property requirements. Contact us today for a free valuation and home moving advice.
