The award-winning Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre is now a London landmark, a firm fixture of summer in the city, creating a unique atmosphere in this glorious Royal Park. With 1,240 seats, the steeply raked auditorium is one of the largest in London, although it still feels strangely intimate. More than 130,000 people regularly attend the theatre’s four annual productions between May and September each year, and many of them like to enhance the experience by picnicking on the lawn beforehand.
This website can confirm the four productions to be performed beneath the stars in 2013 will be To Kill a Mockingbird (16 May–15 June), Pride and Prejudice (20 June–20 July), a children’s production of The Winter’s Tale (29 June-20 July) and The Sound of Music (25 July–7 September).
