Central London estate agents Kay & Co is particularly proud to have sponsored Great Ormond Street Hospital’s Champagne Garden Party hosted by The ARRT Society, which took place on Sunday 3rd July at Cleveland Square in W2.
Our support helped The ARRT Society - an organisation that fundraises to support children’s charities - raise over £22,000 for the hospital. This money will fund a brand new anaesthetic machine at Great Ormond Street to keep the young patients safe and pain free during operations.
With 255,000 admissions or appointments at Great Ormond Street each year, the hospital relies on the generosity of events such as the Champagne Garden Party to support its work and to ensure it remains a truly world-class centre of excellence in children’s medicine and health.
The ARRT Society had hoped the garden party would achieve its target figure of £14,000 and were ecstatic when the final sum far exceeded that . Guests were treated to an afternoon of fun, entertainment and refreshments that obviously put them in a generous mood. A complimentary glass of Mandois champagne was served on arrival, accompanied by delicious food from the City Pantry. This was followed by music from the highly sought after male vocal quartet ‘Three and a Half Men’ and a much-anticipated auction hosted by an entertaining auctioneer from Christie’s.
Martin Bikhit, Managing Director of Kay & Co, commented: “We strongly believe that being involved and supporting our local community is at the heart of what Kay & Co is about. The outstanding work that takes place at the Great Ormond Street Hospital is truly amazing, and we felt honoured and humbled to sponsor this event. We are thrilled that such a staggering amount of money was raised – thanks in part to 100% of the ticket sales going directly to the charity. The number of local attendees is a wonderful reflection of the support and charitable goodwill from residents here in W2. A big thank you to everyone who came to the event.”
